Introduction

The department is divided into two separate groups:

The Engineering Group: Project planning, design, construction, monitoring, as well as maintenance skills of civil engineering.
Spatial Informatics Group: Collection and application of engineering databases, infrastructure monitoring technologies and operations of applied software.

Curriculum

---

     The academic scope of the department focuses primarily on civil engineering technology. Encompassing computers and computer aided software, the curriculum focuses on practical application as well as professional skills to cultivate modern civil engineering talent.

     The teaching and research of this department are divided into four primary majors: Material Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering and Project Management.

     The faculty of the Department is composed of 23 full-time teachers, including 3 full professors, 12 associate professor, 5 assistant professors and 3 instructors.

 

Facilities

     The Department has 3 audio-visual rooms, a structural mechanics lab, a material testing lab, a measurement instrument lab, a recycled composite material and accurate testing lab, a non-destructive testing lab, a soil mechanics lab, a spatial technology room, a construction automation lab and the construction science & technology center, The advanced, fully-computerized facilities offer an excellent environment for engineering learning.
