1. Starting from the second semester of the 2023 school year, the Ministry of Education has implemented the "Program to Narrow the Gap in Tuition and Fees between Public and Private Schools", which reduces the tuition and fees of NTD 17,500 per semester for Taiwanese students of the Day Division of University Division (excluding the students of the extended study). No student needs to apply for this reduction, and the amount of the reduction is deducted from the tuition and fees without any application. (The amount of exemption for the students of the Department of Continuing Education is announced after the university receives the letter from the Ministry of Education.)
2. According to the regulations, "Preferential Policies and Exemptions or Reductions of Tuition and Fees for Various Types of Students", "Exemption or Reduction of Tuition and Fees by the Executive Yuan", and "Other Governmental Ministries and Agencies' Subsidies for Study" (e.g. children of military and civil servants or teachers, children of agricultural and fishery associations, and children of unemployed workers) are government subsidies, and only one (preferential) subsidy can be selected. Those who have already enjoyed the exemption or reduction for the same semester or year of study may not enjoy repeatedly exemption or reduction.
3. If you have applied for other governmental subsidies for study (e.g. children of military and civil servants or teachers, children of agriculture and fishery associations, children of unemployed workers, etc.), please fill out the waiver form of the "Exemption or Reduction of Tuition and Fees by the Executive Yuan" and return it to the Extracurricular Activities Section of the Office of Student Affairs, to avoid duplication of subsidies and the need to make additional payments in the future, which will affect the rights and interests of the students in terms of student loan.

Note: Those who have applied for the "Preferential Policies and Exemptions or Reductions of Tuition and Fees for Various Types of Students" do not need to fill out the waiver form of the "Exemption or Reduction of Tuition and Fees by the Executive Yuan" and will be excluded automatically by the system.
