Among them, student Ya Hui Hsu received the 2026 Presidential Education Award in recognition of her perseverance in learning and courage in pursuing her dreams, adding further honor and inspiration to the ceremonies.

The Class of 2026 Commencement Ceremony was held today, June 13. In his remarks, President Jui Chang Kung noted that more than 4,000 students were graduating from the University and encouraged all graduates to uphold the spirit of the University motto, “Strive for Perfection,” continue striving for excellence, and constantly improve themselves as they forge their own bright futures. President Kung, together with the deans of the College of Engineering, College of Health and Management, and College of Living Creativity, then moved the tassel for each graduate and presented degree certificates, marking the important moment of completing their studies. Applause filled the venue as graduates proudly and joyfully shared this memorable occasion with their faculty members, families, and friends.

Speaking on behalf of the alumni, Yung Ching Chen, President of the Pingtung Alumni Association, and Chun Hung Wu, President of the Taipei Alumni Association, noted that Cheng Shiu University alumni work across a wide range of industries and have earned strong professional recognition through their professional expertise and dedication. They have also become a valuable source of support for younger alumni and current students. The two alumni leaders encouraged graduates to maintain their enthusiasm for learning and their commitment to growth after leaving campus, apply what they have learned to their careers and daily lives, and continue enhancing their professional value.

Graduate representative Tzu Min Huang from the Department of Architecture and Interior Design stated that whether graduates enter the workforce or pursue further education, they should cherish the friendships and abilities they gained at Cheng Shiu University and confidently embrace new challenges. Although graduation brings one journey to a close, it also marks the beginning of a new chapter in life. She encouraged her fellow graduates to carry forward the knowledge, experiences, and memories they accumulated at Cheng Shiu University as they continue pursuing their dreams.

The Indigenous Student Commencement Ceremony, organized by the Indigenous Student Resource Center, incorporated a variety of cultural elements. The Pakelang Indigenous Youth Club opened the ceremony with a performance, after which Dean of Student Affairs Shu Yun Lin placed wreaths symbolizing wisdom and blessings on the graduates. Faculty members and students also participated in a traditional shared cup tea ceremony to convey gratitude and blessings. Lin stated that the Indigenous Student Resource Center serves as a “second home” for Indigenous students during their time at the University. She encouraged graduates to courageously pursue their dreams and return often to connect with faculty members and younger students, thereby sustaining their relationships and cultural heritage.
