Achievement Exhibition of College of Health and Management of Cheng Shiu University for “AI-Driven Cross-Domain Integration” to Inspire Educational Innovation
[News Release] College of Health and Management at Cheng Shiu University held the “AI-Driven Cross-Domain Integration” achievement exhibition grandly on the 4th floor of the Activity Center today (13). In conjunction with the Higher Education Sprout Project, the exhibition gathered joint displays from seven departments of the College of Health and Management, showcasing diverse achievements in teaching innovation, industry-academia application, and local revitalization. It fully demonstrated the college’s educational new style of integrating AI technology into teaching and cross-domain cooperation.
President Rui-Zhang Gong of Cheng Shiu University stated in his speech at the opening ceremony that the college’s departments have not only combined AI technology with professional course achievements but also integrated University Social Responsibility (USR) and sustainable development concepts, linking education with society to cultivate a new generation of talents with AI application skills and social care capabilities. President Rui-Zhang Gong emphasized that AI has penetrated various industries, and it is an essential goal of current higher education and how to cultivate students’ AI thinking and align with industry.
Hsiu-Jung Chou, Dean of the College of Health and Management, said that the theme of this achievement exhibition is “AI-Driven Cross-Domain Integration.” It is the second time the college has held such an event since its renaming. Although the exhibition was moved indoors due to a typhoon, the seven departments still gave their all, showcasing their respective teaching characteristics and AI application achievements.
Dean Chou Hsiu-Jung pointed out that the Ministry of Education has recently placed special emphasis on promoting AI education. Therefore, the college has taken AI as its core development axis, integrating it with the two major fields of health and management to demonstrate the spirit of “AI-driven, Cross-domain Integration.” Department of Business Administration focuses on the education of three innovations (creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship), while Department of Information Management showcases AI’s virtual-physical integration applications. Health care-related departments such as the Department of Long-term Care and Health Management, the Department of Nursing, and the Department of Early Childhood Care and Education have introduced AI into care and educational practices, presenting a diverse landscape of smart health.
Student Council President Jui-Han Hsieh mentioned that this event was specifically designed to invite students from multiple high schools and vocational schools, aiming to help them better understand the diverse development of the College of Health and Management. The college not only has management-related departments but also covers different fields such as health care. Students who enroll in related departments at the college in the future can also take cross-departmental courses and experience a more diverse range of learning content, broadening their horizons.
During the exhibition, approximately 230 teachers and students from San Sing High School of Commerce and Home Economics, Chung Shan Industrial & Commercial School, Pingtung County Fang Liao High School, and Shu-Te Home-Economics & Commercial High School were invited to visit the campus. Through interactive experience booths designed by each department, high school and vocational school students could experience the diverse and rich teaching characteristics and AI application achievements of Cheng Shiu University, thereby deepening inter-school exchanges.
This exhibition, themed “AI-driven, Cross-domain Integration,” showcased the innovative achievements and characteristics of the College of Health and Management in smart health and excellent management. Dean Chou emphasized that AI technology is used to promote knowledge integration, practice translation, and educational innovation, to create a cross-domain integrated learning ecosystem, and to foster in-depth interaction among faculty, students, and industry, demonstrating the college’s core educational momentum for the future.
