Cheng Shiu University and Formosa Solar Renewable Power Establish an Alliance, Providing Green Hope Scholarships




Cheng Shiu University and Formosa Solar Renewable Power Group jointly signed a Cooperation Agreement to donate NTD 300,000 in scholarship funds to assist economically disadvantaged students. Vice President Jui-Wei Kung said that the actions of Formosa Solar Renewable Power Group to help underprivileged students are admirable; the University will use funds in accordance with the use mechanism.
Cheng Shiu University was represented by Vice President Jui-Wei Kung, and Formosa Solar Renewable Power Group was represented by Zhen-Lin Wu, Director of Maintenance and General Manager of the Pingtung Branch, at the external fundraising signing ceremony. Formosa Solar Renewable Power Group has pledged to donate NTD 300,000 each year to help financially disadvantaged students at Cheng Shiu University complete their studies, doing their part in establishing a safe and friendly environment for studies.
Jui-Wei Kung, Vice President of Cheng Shiu University, said that the funds not only provide material assistance, but also represent the society’s support for educational equity and the affirmation and encouragement of future generations. The University will implement the earmarked funds accordingly.
The signing ceremony was warm and fulfilling. Zhen-Lin Wu, Director of Maintenance and General Manager of the Pingtung Branch of Formosa Solar Renewable Power Group, gave a lecture on “Renewable Energy Projects.” With rich practical experience in the industry, he shared about the current situation and future of Taiwan’s renewable energy, encouraging students to pursue their dreams and seize academic and career opportunities brought about by green technology.
Zhen-Lin Wu said that using solar power to tailor the standard procedures for specific cases will achieve maximum benefits. If the design is effective, there will be no trouble in maintaining its operations.
He also said that this cooperation symbolizes the joint efforts of the industry and the University; it not only provides compassionate educational support for economically disadvantaged students but also sows the seeds of hope for sustainable development.
Jui-Wei Kung emphasized that in the future, they will continue to deepen their cooperation with industry and cultivate young students with a sense of social responsibility and practical ability through industry–university co-education, public welfare actions, and professional exchanges. This effort serves to inject new energy into Taiwan’s sustainable development.
