Cheng Shiu University Winter Camp in Full Swing with Department of Cosmetics and Fashion Styling Launching "Feather Encounter with Fragrance” and Team of Information Security Fighting against Hackers

Cheng Shiu University Winter Camp is in Full Swing! The Department of Cosmetics and Fashion Styling launched "Feather Encounter with Fragrance,” transforming ordinary paper into elegant 3D feather artworks. The SPA Teaching and Experience Center and the Holistic Styling classroom amazed the participants. Meanwhile, the Department of Information Engineering planned the "Hackers Incoming, Squad Strike Back–Cheng Shiu University Information Security Team," where students learned information security skills and were guided into a technological lifestyle focused on information security.

At the Department of Cosmetics and Fashion Styling winter camp, participants gathered in a warm atmosphere and embarked on a rich learning journey. In the paper feather sculpture workshop, instructors guided students to transform ordinary paper into elegant 3D feather artworks. This was followed by the "Makeup Corridor Tour," where students visited various specialized classrooms, including the SPA Teaching and Experience Center, Holistic Styling, and Hairstyling classrooms.

Next, participants dove into creating Korean-style aroma diffuser stones. From designing the preserved flower arrangements to the fragrance blends, each student fully developed their unique Korean-style aroma work, showcasing their creativity while ensuring quality. Tea breaks and sharing sessions were arranged throughout the process, making the entire learning experience warm and enjoyable.

Participants not only acquired professional skills but also gained a new understanding of the beauty industry through this winter camp. Making paper sculptures cultivated their fine motor skills and aesthetic design sense. Creating aroma diffuser stones taught them the basics of fragrance blending and production techniques. Visits to specialized classrooms provided participants with an in-depth understanding of the diverse development directions of the beauty and fashion styling industry, including applications in beauty, hairstyling, makeup, nail art, and other professional fields.

Wenling Tsai, Dean of the Department of Cosmetics and Fashion Styling, explained that the "Feather Encounter with Fragrance" winter camp is not just an ordinary experiential activity but also an opportunity for aesthetic inspiration and self-exploration. Through engaging professional courses, each participant can discover the charm of the beauty industry and find their own areas of interest.

The "Hackers Incoming, Squad Strike Back–Cheng Shiu University Information Security Team" winter camp organized by the Department of Information Engineering approached information security issues from an industry perspective. As industries undergo digital transformation and smart manufacturing progress, hacking and ransomware attacks are on the rise. Through this camp, participants learned about industry trends, information security, and management concepts and experienced simulated cyber-attack and defense drills, guided into a technological lifestyle focused on information security.
