Important Information for Online Applications for Student Housing for the Fall 2026 Semester. Please complete your application within the designated period.

1. Application Period: August 7, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. to August 9, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

2. Application Method: Please apply through the Cheng Shiu Information Portal → Student Affairs Information → Dormitory Management System.

3. Required Documents: When applying, please prepare a digital ID photo and scanned copies of valid documentation for low-income households, lower-middle-income households, or children of active-duty military personnel. These documents will serve as the basis for Executive Yuan housing subsidies.

4. Admission Announcement: For new and returning students, results will be announced at 12:00 p.m. on August 10, 2026. Please log in to the system and select “Application List” to check the results.

5. Housing Fee Subsidies and Waivers: Multiple subsidies may not be claimed at the same time or beyond the amount for which a student is eligible.

(1) Low Income Household Subsidy: NT$15,300. Applications must be submitted within two weeks after the semester begins.

(2) Students who qualify under the University’s “Implementation Regulations for Admission Scholarships and Financial Aid for First Year Students in the Four Year Day Division from Yilan, Hualien, Taitung, and Offshore Islands” and who graduated from a senior high school or vocational high school in Yilan, Hualien, or Taitung, or whose household registration is in an offshore island area, are eligible for one year of free accommodation in the Cheng Shiu University Dormitory. Students who meet the above criteria but apply for Wenshan Student Residence must pay the difference in accommodation fees. The relevant procedures will be handled after the semester begins.

(3) Executive Yuan Housing Subsidy: General students of R. O. C. nationality: NT$5,000 per semester; students from low-income or lower-middle-income households and children of active-duty military personnel: NT$7,000 per semester. Supporting documentation must be uploaded.

6. Payment Deadlines: Please download and print the payment slip from the Yuanta University Affairs Portal. Students who do not pay the deposit within the designated period will forfeit their accommodation offer, and the vacancy will be reassigned to a student on the waiting list.

(1) Deposit: August 11 to August 14, 2026.

(2) Housing Fee: August 11 to August 14, 2026, except for students from low-income households and those applying for student loans to cover housing fees.

(3) The deposit and housing fee are nonrefundable except in cases of suspension or withdrawal from the University or other special circumstances involving force majeure.

7. Roommate Request Period: August 11 to August 15, 2026. The roommate request form may only be completed after the deposit has been paid. Requests not submitted within the designated period will be automatically deleted.

(1) All parties must agree to the roommate arrangement. Only one member of the group needs to submit the request on behalf of all roommates. Duplicate submissions are not permitted.

8. Bed Assignment Announcement: August 31, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Please check the Dormitory Management System.

9. Move-In Dates: Students must present proof of payment or a student loan document when checking in. Students must complete payment before they are permitted to move in.

(1) New Students: September 1 to September 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

September 1: Departments of Civil Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture and Interior Design, Computer Science and Information Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, Esports Technology Management, Early Childhood Care and Education, Long Term Care and Health Management, Nursing, Information Management, Business Administration, and Finance.

September 2: Departments of Recreation and Sports Management, Cosmetics and Fashion Styling, Visual Communication Design, Digital Multimedia Design, Food and Beverage Management, and Tourism and Recreation.

(2) Returning Students: September 5 to September 6, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
