(CSU News) Cheng Shiu University’s College of Health and Management has once again achieved outstanding results. Under the guidance of Dean Chou Hsiu-Jung, students Cheng Pei-Hsi, Chen Yi-Chien, and Wang Chia-Chun developed AI Cards × Career Exploration Expansion Pack—Future Workplace Simulation Battle,” which won a Silver Medal at the “2026 Systematic Innovation Conference and Project Competition” and a Gold Medal at the IIC International Invention Exhibition, demonstrating notable achievements in innovative design and AI education applications. Chou Hsiu-Jung stated that the board game integrates a real-time interactive mechanism using ChatGPT, allowing AI to become part of the learning process.

The “2026 Systematic Innovation Conference and Project Competition” was recently held at National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism. The project developed by students Cheng Pei-Hsi, Chen Yi-Chien, and Wang Chia-Chun integrates AI with board game mechanics, transforming abstract knowledge into interactive scenarios through gamified learning. This approach enables students to develop AI literacy and digital application skills in a relaxed and engaging game environment, achieving the educational goal of “learning through play and playing through learning.”

Student Chen Yi-Chien stated that the development of the AI card-based board game was inspired by the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence in recent years. Although many students recognize the importance of AI, they often lack a clear understanding of its practical applications and impact on the future workplace. Therefore, the team aimed to transform abstract AI concepts into interactive, scenario-based learning experiences that allow players to naturally understand the connection between AI and the workplace during gameplay.

Student Cheng Pei-Hsi stated that the team chose board games as the medium because of their face-to-face interactive nature. Through discussion, collaboration, and competition, players not only increase engagement but also strengthen memory retention. Compared with simply reading or watching videos, this approach enables a more effective understanding of knowledge content.

Student Wang Chia-Chun stated that the project mainly targets students aged 15 to 22 years. In the future, it can be applied in classroom teaching, club activities, and AI education promotion, and also has potential for commercialization and digital development, such as online card games, apps, or AR interactive versions for the educational technology market.

Chou Hsiu-Jung emphasized that the awards not only demonstrate students’ practical abilities in innovative planning and product design, but also reflect the College of Health and Management’s commitment to promoting AI technology, innovative education, and interdisciplinary learning. In the future, the college will continue encouraging students to integrate theory and practice and, through innovation competitions and industry-academia collaboration, cultivate interdisciplinary talent equipped with digital competencies and innovative thinking, injecting new momentum into industry development in the AI era.
