The "2024 Empowered Together, Thriving in Harmony: The Leap of Success" on-campus career fair, jointly organized by Cheng Shiu University and the Kaohsiung-Pingtung-Penghu-Taitung Regional Branch of the Workforce Development Agency, has kicked off! With 5,000 job opportunities available, recent graduates are drawn to this event. Nan Pao Resins Chemical offers attractive high-salary positions of up to 70K. President Jui-Chang Kung, adorned in sunglasses and wearing a traditional Chinese Jacket and Long Robe, led the students into the event venue while expressing hope that all graduates would find suitable jobs.
The visual image design for Cheng Shiu University's on-campus career fair was organized by Visual Communication Design alumnus Yi-Hua Chu. The design idea was inspired by the Year of the Dragon. The design incorporates the wisdom, auspiciousness, and high aspirations associated with the dragon, symbolizing the spirit of the graduates as they enter the workforce. President Jui-Chang Kung's traditional Chinese Jacket and Long Robe were likened to a master from ancient times leading the students into the event venue. As President Jui-Chang Kung, wearing sunglasses, entered, immediate cheers of "Wow! So cool!" were heard.
The Department of Visual Communication Design student, Chia-Chien Liu, kicked off the event. The opening featured a Yuju Opera led by Chia-Chien Liu, jointly performed by the Pakelang Indigenous Youth and Alumni associations. The opening performance theme revolved around four occupations: scholars, farmers, artisans, and merchants, symbolizing that all professions are part of one big family. President Jui-Chang Kung, along with senior administrators and performers, joined hands and danced in a circle, creating a harmonious atmosphere. The performance symbolizes the integration of each industry.
The event's highlight was the kick-off ceremony, which featured a globe lamp created with 3D printing skills by a group of students led by Yi-Hsien Lin, a teacher from the Department of Electronics Engineering. Along with a self-designed LED controller, the creation symbolized taking control of the future while recognizing that the world is in our hands.
President Jui-Chang Kung stated that it is graduation season again. It is a time when scouts visit schools to seek suitable talent. When new graduates receive the talent scouts' favor, it is a win-win situation for both parties. If graduates find a job that suits them among thousands of job opportunities, it will be a significant step toward their future development.
Fourth-year student En-Yu Liu from the Department of Information Management, who is interested in research and development engineering, discovered this industry's limitless potential after visiting several companies at this event. He distributed several resumes at the career fair in the hope of a successful job offer.
Over 110 recruitment companies spanning various fields, including education, services, electronics technology, and finance, participated, catering to students from different majors. Several well-known listed companies, such as ASE Technology Holding, PANJIT, YAGEO, MOS Food Services, Yuanta Commercial Bank, and alumni enterprises, participated, offering graduates diverse choices.
The event provided 5,000 job opportunities, with an average salary of job openings starting from 32K. Nan Pao Resins Chemical even offered a high salary of 70K. Outside the event venue, the Sanmin Employment Service Station set up a "Resume Review Stop" to provide job interviewees with one-on-one career consultation. Additionally, areas such as the "Image Styling Area" and "Career Personality Aptitude Area" were provided by alumni enterprises, as well as particular areas like the "Micro-enterprise Area" and "Handicraft DIY," incorporating indigenous cultural elements.
